Gramvousa is the name of two small islands of Crete. The two islands (Imeri Gramvousa and Agria Gramvousa) are located in the northwestern part of the Prefecture of Chania. They are located in the municipality of Kissamos.
At the eastern tip of Crete, there are two islands Wild and Imeri Gramvousa. Imeri Gramvousa is famous for its beautiful beach, the wreck of a cargo ship, as well as its Venetian castle (built by the Venetians in 1579-1584 to help protect the island against the Turks). The fortress is built at a height of 137 meters on a steep flat hill with access from the eastern side where a helical path is formed. It is worth visiting to see the incredible view over the fortress. You may visit the beautiful beach with clear blue waters where you can swim and sunbathe. Unfortunately, there is no infrastructure in the area where you can get food or water. However, we do offer some snacks and refreshments on board to take care of the necessities. The distance from Kissamos port is about 1 hour.
